A Healthier version of Soda

You met my friend Gabriella last week when she wrote about  a yummy fruit frittata. Through perusing her blog, I found a new drink recipe that is quickly becoming a favorite: Strawberry Cream Soda.

I am not a fan of sparkling water or club soda on their own, but add a bit of stevia and strawberries and it provides a refreshing alternative to regular sodas. (or Cokes, as we call ALL sodas in the south 🙂 )

(although, I’m having trouble finding the vanilla-flavored stevia drops and just used plain stevia. Gabriela, any hints?)

  1. Hey Kelli! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the drink! (I’m with you – club soda by itself is nastayyy.) Now for that illusive vanilla creme stevia! I bought it at Kroger (health food section) a while back and have also seen it and other flavors (English Toffee, Chocolate, and Cola!) at the
    larger HEBs in the health food section with the supplements. Depending on where those stores are located in relation to you, it might
    be easier to order it online. It’s worth buying – it really helps me
    say no to sugary things and it lasts a loooong time!

  2. I love Seltzer as an alternative to soda. Never thought to add fruit and stevia.

  3. Hi Kelli 🙂 I’ve never tried mixing club soda but I bet it is yummy with some sweet fruit. Stevia gives me headaches so maybe I could use some aquave nectar. It’s what I use in tea and coffee as an alternative to sugar, it’s natural and great for people with sugar diabetes. Thanks for sharing friend! Happy Friday xo

  5. I’ve done agave nectar too! It is yummy also. I had gestational diabetes in my last pregnancy and used it for oatmeal etc.
