DIY upcycle- from jar to vase

Making a House a Home

I am so enjoying this Making a House a Home series. If you missed it yesterday, I rolled out a giveaway for a $250 gift card from Gallery Furniture in Houston, as well as a few more goodies. You can find it by clicking here.

One way I love to take my house from a cold, personality-less (is that even a word??) building to a cozy, warm atmosphere, is making accent pieces myself. And even more, I love that it’s usually inexpensive and has my own personal touch.

Take this olive oil jar, for example. (Free- the best price!)

If you want to see all the steps I took to create this (believe me, it was easy!), visit me over at Untrained Housewife, where I’m guest posting today!

Oh, and do me a favor. Let me know in the comments any areas of “making a house a home” that you would like to see me cover! I want to write about topics that are relevant to you, so let me know!

If you enjoyed this post, would you considering subscribing by e-mail? Thank you!
