Dresser Do-Over: I Got my Teal!

If you’re visiting from Money Saving Mom today, welcome! I am so glad you stopped by.

If you’re a regular reader, check out my post on MSM on how to get maternity clothes for cheap. I’m a pro by now! 🙂

I mentioned a few weeks ago in this post that teal was my favorite color, but didn’t really have any in my house. Well due to some updating in our living room, I was able to at least get a teal piece of furniture! We had a brown dresser that I got in high school. With the new updates in the living room, it didn’t match anymore.

My son looking oh-so-happy to be photographed!

The dresser wasn’t in the room pictured above, but it’s where it was when I remembered to take a picture. 🙂 I wanted to paint the red wall in our living room teal, but hubby was afraid that would turn into lots of painting (he’s probably right!) so he suggested the dresser.

About halfway through, I think he was regretting the suggestion. He even joked that my mom was going to punish us for painting such a nice dresser! Well mom, if you’re reading this, I hope you like it!

All decorated for fall…

A close up- we used the original hardware.

So what do you think? Or you more of a stained wood or painted wood person? I really love the teal against the white. I’ll show the rest of the living room soon. I love the changes we made!
