Infinite Options with Xfinity

Last week, I got to hang out with some of my Houston blogging friends (and meet some new ones!) and learn a little about what XFinity and Comcast Houston have to offer. Now it’s no secret that my husband and I have never had cable in our almost-15 years of marriage, but I have to say that some of XFinity’s options look amazing- like a voice-command remote (available with Xfinity1) to search for channels? Be still my heart!

(Thank you Comcast Houston for sponsoring our delicious lunch, fun afternoon, and this post!)

Xfinity also isn’t just cable company. They also offer home security options with Xfinity home- including 24/7 professional security monitoring that you can control remotely. You can also adjust your thermostat from your phone- keep your a/c turned up most of the day, then cool your house down before you get home. Brilliant!

They also have amazing internet options, including a 75 mpbs speed that will be in my home shortly!

Xfinity is serious about upping their customer service game- in fact, their goal is to have customer service as their best “product” in the next 2-3 years. As a gal who loathes bad customer service and praises good customer service, this really caught my attention. Their retail stores give close attention to details, such as comfy waiting areas (couches!) and a queing system so that you check in and can explore the store while you wait, rather than waiting in line.

Another option I loved with Xfinity: the Xfinity Share app. It’s a way to live-stream and send photos and videos to a TV. So if both you and your parents have Xfinity, you can live-stream your kids’ events to them, even if they live across the country! Speaking of apps, Xfinity has one for all of their products: Xfinity Home, Xfinity1, Xfinity share…. you can even turn your phone into a remote with an app! I loved learning about everything that Xfinity has to offer.

Do you have cable? What about home security? We’re thinking about getting a security system for the first time. Would love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I thought the share app was pretty awesome too! Good to meet you at the event 🙂

  2. I love the super fast internet- worth every penney especially now that my older ones have phones and stream YouTube, and all of their high school text books are digital so they have to use it to do any kind of homework too.
