Oh baby!

So, I’ve been keeping something from you, my dear readers, for about a month. I’m not good at secrets but this one is worth the wait.

That’s right, our #4 baby will make his or her debut in late November or early December.  I am so incredibly excited to meet this new little one!

So, when you get past Baby #2, almost e.v.e.r.y.b.o.d.y. asks if it was “planned” or a “surprise.” (which surprise is a MUCH better word than “accident”!) Well in my opinion, every baby is planned by God, and yes, we wanted a large family. This one came a liiiiitle earlier than intended, but not much, and we are just thrilled for this new little life.

Remember this trip? I was feeling a tiny bit nauseous every once in a while. As in, once I couldn’t finish my meal. I can ALWAYS finish my meal. 🙂 And I slept a lot during the day. I figured that fact could be attributed to having no kids around, but a three-hour nap? A little extreme.

(Oh, and funny story- the first morning of our trip was April Fool’s Day. I woke Ben up by telling him I was pregnant- just as a joke. He told me, “You’re going to laugh if the joke’s on you!” It was.)

We arrived home from picking up our kids from my parents’ the night before Easter. Easter morning, I decided to take a test since I happened to have one at home. There was no hesitation, 2 lines turned pink immediately!

I put the test in an Easter egg for my hubby and told him I had gotten him an Easter basket. Imagine his surprise when he opened the egg to find not candy, but a positive pregnancy test!

(I have very similar pic to this from all of our pregnancies!)

Yesterday, I had a ten-week ultrasound and as soon as the doctor clicked on the screen, it was all arms and legs and sweet little head. It was beautiful to see!

Please pray for us and this new little blessing. Some things happened early in the pregnancy that are making us treasure this little one even more than we would have already. The kids are incredibly excited and everyone is cheering for a boy. (Besides me, either one is great for me!)

Happy Friday!
