12 Days of Christmas {Day Four:Yummy Treats}

I love Christmas food! The decadent, the savory, the sweet- I love it all!

I also love hot-chocolaty drinks, but most of them are filled with sugar. Now I love me some sugar, and as I explained here, sugar really loves me and wants to hang around forever! So I developed this yummy low-cal mocha so I can still enjoy the chocolate-y goodness without too much sugar. My hubby even agreed. 🙂

Low-Cal Mocha Latte

25 calories: Prepare a cup of Swiss Miss Diet Hot Chocolate with 6 ounces boiling water in a large coffee mug. {Disclaimer: Be careful, boiling water is hot!}

0 calories: Add about 4 ounces hot coffee- or more depending on your coffee needs. {See above disclaimer. Also, this is a good way to use left-over coffee. Just zap in the micro for a few seconds.}

25 calories: 1 Tbs. flavored coffee creamer. I used the Coffee-mate sugar-free French Vanilla. Whew, that was a mouthful.

25 calories: 2 Tbs. Cool Whip on top.

Total: 75 delicious calories.

According to this website, Starbucks hot chocolate with no whipped topping is 204 calories! And my version is about $3 cheaper as well. 🙂
